in the neon-smeared underbelly of the cosmos, where stars fluzzed along quick like glitching holomen and the sky was wrinkled in electric shades of waste and cobalt, two travelers, Branch-Tickler and Glownut, went out on holiday. they arrived on Hoghound-9, a planet on a far tip of a tusk of the known universe, where the bug-line stretched endlessly like foolish wage circuitry gone short. buildings jimbled from the ground like jagged boar teeth, their surfaces splatched flatly with the cold glow of synthetic starpaste. holographic billboards the size of billboards blinked with non-cryptic messages, blonked with simple ads, promising forbidden delight and hidden wisdom. their hotel, was a sprawling triple-nipple metropolis itself within itself. hallways twisted and turned, and the elevator was named Eddie and Eddie whispered enigmatic truths as it ascended to their suite, suspended high above the cityscape. the room itself was a turgid nightmare, with walls emitting a ghost-livered dream-piss odor, casting cheap patterns upon the floor. holographic orchids hovered in mid-air, their petals undulating , also the dungeon smell, mingled as it were a holy waft.
one night, as they wandered the labyrinthine streets, they stumbled upon a speakeasy called 'hollow pete's', his entrance concealed behind a sputtering oily waterfall rising from coated yellow sewer grate,that bounded upward and upward. They descended into its depths. inside, the air hummed and at the bar, a bartender with mechanical arms and neon tattoos mixed cocktails that defied the laws of physics! Branch-Tickler ordered a "quantum fizz," a simple concoction. they felt the heartbeat of Hoghound-9, a city that existed on the brink of reality and illusion. in the midst of the cybernetic thrum, Branch-Tickler whispered to Glownut, "in this city of shattered mirrors and electric shish-kebabs, i've found a love as constant as time itself, a love that's like pulsing bacon on a skillet."
